This represents the greatest species conservation challenge in our history.”

Animal Interaction Design Group’s (AIDG) Future of Frogs teaches and inspires your guests about one of the greatest and most urgent conservation undertakings ever; the preservation of frogs and amphibians. Why do frogs matter? What most people do not recognize is that frogs are an important part of a healthy environment. They control pest insect populations that damage agriculture and spread diseases. These amazing creatures are sentinel animals and are among the first species to be impacted by contaminants in the environment. Some frog species have been used with great success in the advancements of medicine to help heal the sick.

Future of Frogs Exhibit Location Information

The Future of Frogs traveling exhibit offers a glimpse into the world of some of these amazing animals and their perilous future. Our flexible design allows zoos, aquariums and museums the opportunity to exhibit live frogs in naturalistic exhibits.

AIDG’s Future of Frogs premiered at the Oregon Zoo in 2008. The exhibition was the featured exhibition for the zoo’s festival of lights. Visitor surveys were conducted and Future of Frogs received a mean rating of 4.23 on a 5 point scale (5 being excellent). Future of Frogs closed out Oregon Zoo’s highest attended year ever.

Living Components:
Includes 5 spectacular turnkey naturalistic frog habitats complete with animals, water filtration and all associated life support. AIDG will set up the exhibits and provide training of a minimum of two host facility staff persons to care for the animals and exhibits during its entire rental period.

Graphic Components:
All graphics contain museum quality images.
1. A species graphic for each exhibit denoting the animal’s natural habitat, biological information, natural history and some fun facts. (5 separate graphics)
2. The State of things: a graphic that documents what’s happening to wild amphibians and why their numbers are decreasing so rapidly.
3. Information about AZA and Year of the Frog, and what they and other conservation organizations and other countries are doing to conserve these animals from extinction.
4. Information on why amphibians are so important and need protection.
5. How can each of us help (eight actions each member of the public can do to make a difference in the effort to conserve amphibians)
6. What is Amphibian Ark and how will your donations help them protect amphibians from extinction?
7. Five graphics each highlighting a cool fact about frogs.

Giving Back:
As with all of AIDG’s traveling exhibits, AIDG will include a wonderful custom donation station to help raise funds for the animal species exhibited. In this case all funds raised will be directed to AZA’s Conservation Endowment Fund to be used to aid in the preservation of our world’s amphibians.

A secure indoor, climate controlled room of approximately 800 square feet.
