As Associate Curator of Marine Mammals and The Living Coast at Chicago’s Brookfield Zoo, Greg created and managed the only walrus interactive program in the world. He also developed and led a multi-disciplined team to establish zoo wide interactive programs with other species of animals including Humboldt penguins, bonnet head sharks, bottle nosed dolphins, and giraffes. These programs were the most successful in generating revenue and guest satisfaction ever offered since the zoo opened more than 60 years ago. Greg has extensive consultation experience in the optimal practices of management and care of marine mammal collections, particularly in the area of population management. As a former President of the International Marine Animal Trainers Association, Greg has been recognized for his efforts to establish the highest standards of animal care and professionalism within the international marine mammal community.
“...Greg is extremely capable and has demonstrated his ability to meet challenges and produce at the highest level of quality. His programs were always developed to include and engage a large cross section of public. These programs were the most popular ever offered by the zoo and significantly increased a revenue stream to help support the operating expenses of the institution." Randall S.
